SMEDA is a statutory body working under Ministry of Industries, Government of Pakistan for the development and promotion of SMEs in Pakistan. SMEDA under its public sector Development Program (PSDP) has established an SME Subcontracting Exchange at Gujranwala to develop inter-firm linkages between small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs)/ small vendors and large Enterprises (SMEs) in the Manufacturing & Light Engineering Sector for development of the industry. We are looking for a dynamic individual for the following position;
Assistant Manager
Responsibilities:
Facilitate in establishing inter-firm (b2b) linkages and match making between SMEs/Vendors and Les in the manufacturing & Light engineering sector
Liaison and coordination with SMEs and Les for enhancing the capability and skills of the SMEs through quality improvements, skills up-gradation and facilitating market access
Assist the team in developing the product/capacity Database containing detailed firm level information resulting in matchmaking for target customers
Assist the team in buyer-seller meetings and exhibitions; facilitating match making between SMEs and LEs
Key Qualifications & Skills:
The ideal candidate should have 16 years of education with a degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics/industrial/metallurgy or similar discipline) from an HEC recognized institution. One year relevant experience related to SMEs with basic knowledge of Cluster based research would be an added advantage
The position requires strong leadership, team playing skills and understanding of b2b marketing
Strong communication, project management and report writing skills and proficiency in Windows based environment and applications such as Excel, SPSS, MS Access and databases
