Vacancy of Advisor Post Graduate and Continuing Professional Development at PM&DC

The PM&DC desires a professional to serve as a full time advisor to the Council for coordinating the activities of Postgraduate Education Committee and continuous professional development program of the council. The individual should have the following competences:

1- MBBS/BDS with Major Post graduate qualification.
2- Post Graduate/teaching experience of 10 years.
3- Should not be over 65 years of age.
4- Proven track record of academic excellence in the field of medical sciences must have at least six research papers published in PM&DC recognized university or Dental Journals.

Scope of Work
1- To facilitate the work of the Postgraduate education Committee including inspections of programs and facilities.
2- To keep officers, executive committee and council informed of best practices in postgraduate education and research internationally and provide assistance and advice to the officers, Executive committee and council in these matters.
3- To prepare the third schedule of the ordinance.
4- To devise and propose competency based training programs in specialties.
5- To devise and implement the scheme of quality feed back from programs.
6- To plan, design and implement a structured CPD scheme for Pakistan in collaboration with all the stakeholders under the guidance of council.
7- To develop and accreditation credit system for CPD points and maintain a national database.
8- To develop a platform for professional organizations involved in CPD and provide them the opportunities to pool and optimize their resources for this purpose.
9- To ensure that the CPD system adequately covers the district level practitioners and bring their skills and knowledge at par with the requirements to deliver the basic service packages.
10- Other tasks assigned by the president/executive committee/Council to whom he would report through Registrar.

This appointment shall be a full time for an initial period of one year but extendable by the council on performance. The selection shall be on merit. Private practice shall be allowed after office hours, however. It shall not be allowed to interfere with PM&DC official obligations.

A car with driver and fuel shall be placed at your disposal by the council. On council’s duty, travel shall be in business class and boarding shall be in five star hotel and this shall be other than the monthly payment of services which can be checked from the office.
