Experience is an important factor based on which the employer evaluates a candidate w.r.t revenue generation for the organization. The expertise of an individual is main factor in deciding about entrance in the company. Few organizations (working in low category) do hire very senior level experienced persons to increase profile, introduce in high level business circles, to transfer experience to their existing staff, project based and many other factors. However such openings are on temporary basis.
